England has scored 39-1 against Pakistan before bad light and rain ended proceedings in the Lord’s on Thursday. 12.3 overs were bowled on the first day of the 4th Test match, Pakistan struck early with the Strauss wicket.
Aamer and Asif bowled well with the one behind the other troubling the England batsman with great line and length. Cook was fortunate to survive on two occasions; first he edged a delivery from Umar Akmal Aamer at 3rd slip, which made a mess of the opportunity.
Thus, with only nine runs to his name, he has successfully overturned a decision to leave-behind appeal again off Aamer a full length delivery passed the outside edge.
Today, the second day of England vs Pakistan 4th Test, it will be a long day of 98.3 overs scheduled to be bowled.
