Former cricketer, Greg Chappell has become the first Australian full-time selector after the nominations conducted by National Talent Manager Cricket Board.
Andrew Hilditch will continue as National Selection Panel (NSP) and Chappell will act as one of the four members of NSP.
The former Australian captain, who played 87 Tests and 74 ODI’s will leave his current position as CA Centre of Excellence Head Coach in Brisbane to take the new role, according to Cricket Australia.
Greg Chappell, who had a controversial stint as coach of India between 2005 and 2007, is looking forward to take up the challenging job.
Chappell is expected to take the new role that has the current program of Council of Europe state cricket associations.
