England and Wales Cricket Board announced that, one day series will be conducted between India, Sri Lanka and England in 2011.
This first test match will be followed by Twenty 20 international and five one day internationals. England will play against India in a four test series and a five match one day series.
England and Wales Cricket Board chief executive, David Collier says that, "Both teams will also provide a tough challenge for England in the shorter forms of the game in what promises to be a highly competitive and entertaining summer of international cricket all round."
India is at top in the ICC test rankings whereas Sri Lanka is at third position.
