Kumar Sangakkara Got Clean Cheat From Referee


In the recent match of Sri Lanka vs New Zealand, which was stopped due to rain in Dambulla? Sri Lanka captain, Kumar Sangakkara has fined between 50 to 100% of his match fee or else he should be ban for a test or two Twenty20s for breaching the ICC Code of Conduct.

Initially, Sangakkara was charged with breaching clause 2.2.4 which deals with "inappropriate and deliberate physical contact between players in the course of play,"

The incident has taken place in the 27th over of Sri Lanka vs New Zealand innings. Sangakkara has hit the delivery of Nathan McCullum to leg side and went for a run, when he turn to second run he bumped into the bowler, who had his back to Sangakkara.

Nathan McCullum didn't like it and complained to the umpires and both had a words with each other. The match referee Alan Hurst says, "I looked at video footage of the incident from various angles and considered the detailed evidence of the umpires. I found that video evidence that was put forward by the player provided reasonable doubt as to whether the contact was deliberate"
